Structure
This program has been created specifically to equip you with the insights and tools needed to reach the youth of the twenty-first century. You will receive training from WA's top youth pastors, leaders and high-school workers. You will also be involved in the various Youth Alive events throughout the year.
Certificate IV in Ministry (Youth Ministry)
The Certificate IV in Ministry (Youth Ministry) consists of five core subjects (which include the internship in your local church), two ministry units and one elective.
You will attend College one and a half days per week, completing three subjects per semester. Also, two days of supervised ministry in your local church or Christian organisation are required per week (16 hours) over the course of the year (February - November).
This course can only be undertaken by students with the consent of their local church pastor.
It is possible to upgrade from this internship into the Diploma of Ministry or the Diploma of Ministry (Youth Ministry) or one of the Bachelor Degree programs.
Duration: One Year (available part-time)
Entry requirements: Year 10 or mature age
Accreditation: Victorian State Training Board
Austudy available: For full-time* students
*Austudy recognises 75% load (ie. 3 subjects) as full-time study

Diploma of Ministry (Youth Ministry)
The Diploma of Ministry (Youth Ministry) continues on from the Certificate IV in Ministry. This course consists of four core subjects, two internship units in your local church), and two electives.
