Want to live your dream, while you're training?

Want to practice what you're learning, while you're studying?

A Harvest West internship releases you into 'hands-on' ministry in your local church as you study.

Interning in either youth, children's, worship/music, pastoral, intercultural, or counselling, will provide you with balanced training as a leader.

How you will benefit?

You will attend Harvest West (or study via our DVD External program) for two days and receive practical relevant training from some of Western Australia's leading practitioners. Then you will spend two days (16 hours) per week serving in your local church, being coached in hands-on ministry from your church's leadership.

Your pastoral coach will encourage and develop you in your leadership role within your local church's vision and DNA. Harvest West will provide you with relevant training in our outstanding programs and can also provide specialised coaching for your pastoral leaders as they supervise you!

Structure

Harvest West offers several Certificate IV Internships, and two Diploma Internships (Youth Ministry and Pastoral Leadership). You will learn different skills at each level:

First Year (Certificate IV): Serve as a valuable ministry team member.

Second Year (Diploma): Lead and coordinate a team or project in a creative way.

How your Pastors will benefit?

Through our Internship Program, Pastors will be able to fast-track the training of their emerging leaders. You will have the opportunity to serve under their direction and supervision while building into the vision and life of your local church. At the same time you will receive training under proven leaders at Harvest West. Pastors widely praise and participate in our Internship programs.

A note to Pastors:

As a person of influence, why not let Harvest West help you realise your dream of raising up the next generation of leaders for the Kingdom of God. Your church or ministry organisation can do this by taking on one or more interns. You will supervise your intern as they complete the "hands-on" component of the program. The "hands-on" component gives the intern the opportunity to apply the fresh insights gained from their study at Harvest West in local church life or contemporary ministry settings. Internships may be extended from the initial one year program to two to three years as required.
