Licentiate

This program is designed specifically for the student who already holds a secular degree.  It will be of interest to students who want to top up their education with one year of ministerial and theological studies. It is ideally suited to the person who feels called into the professional community. It will equip you to be a professional with a Christian perspective.

The Licentiate of Theology will also be of interest to the person who wants to come to Harvest Bible College to complete the required Theological work to qualify them to go on to enroll in the Masters course.  The Licentiate also fulfils the academic requirement for ordination with the Assemblies of God in Australia.

Course Outline

• Hermeneutics
• Introduction to Theology
• New Testament Survey or Old Testament Survey
• Pneumatology

At least one elective from the following:

• Children's Ministry 1
• Counselling Skills 1
• Homiletics
• Ministry to Youth 1
• Introduction to Intercultural Ministry
• Pastoral Ministry
• Planting and Developing Churches
• Prayer and Christian Character
• Music Worship and Creative Ministry

Plus at least one elective from the following:

• Romans and Galatians
• Pentateuch
• Pauline Literature

Plus 2 electives from any of the BA subject List.

This gives you the opportunity to follow your areas of passion.

Duration: One year full time, also available part time

Pathway: Provides entry into the Master of Arts (Ministry)
